Battleship Iowa Restoration Project
Kert VanderMeulen and the Digital Park team has been our secret weapon to help raise funds and awareness for our Battleship Iowa restoration project for the past two years. Kert's enthusiasm for the ship and his expertise in all the areas of filmmaking have allowed him to shoot, edit and distribute promotional videos for donors, a major film festival, our retail outlet aboard ship, local television commercials and a huge network of volunteers via the internet. With the majority of our funding dedicated to the actual restoration of the battleship, we could not have produced the quality of films we got without Kert's willingness to help our project on a shoestring budget.

The Sharing Foundation
All of us here at the Sharing Foundation are so grateful to Dave and Kert for taking time out of their busy schedule to fly to Phnom Penh and spend a week shooting our projects there. We pride ourselves on having an overhead of around 10% annually and their efforts on our behalf for this fundraising film allowed us to keep that commitment. On behalf of all the children and teens that we sponsor in Cambodia, we say thank you so much for your help!

Marching Through History
Kert, thank you so much for coming out to Chino and shooting our event this past Fall. Without your help we would not have had such a great movie to use to spread the word about our reenactors and their passion for living history! We hope that you can join us again next year. Please thank Bill and Monty for their help filming all the activity and the awards presentation on Sunday!

Warrior & the Grand Gal
It's not often that we get a filmmaker who's willing to go to sea on a large, noisy and pitching oceangoing tug to help us tell our story, but that's exactly what Kert VanderMeulen did, cheerfully, when the Crowley tug, Warrior, was dispatched to tow the USS Iowa from San Francisco Bay to San Pedro in May of 2012. And right on the heels of a very nasty blow to boot. Kert, my hat's off to you for your effort - and for making Crowley look so good!

All of us here at the Louis Bolduc Museum are so thankful to Leslie Canavan for introducing her brother to our project! Kert flew in for three days, interviewed everybody and gathered a lot of footage. Now we have this wonderful promo for our new fundraising effort this Spring. We never thought that we would be able to afford this level of film so soon. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
